So its that time of the year, when celebrations are on the go! Its starts with Eid, followed by Christmas & Christmas holidays, backed up by New years, and as soon as the month of Muharram finish's weddings kick off! in the midst of all these celebrations comes... (I'd like to imagine a drum roll here)... SALES! WOO HOO!
There's nothing more exciting for me, and most girls, boys, men, women out there to find something below half its original price! How exciting is that? Its like you go on a crazy shopping spree, come home feeling satisfied because you know the moneys been well spent! As opposed to, you going on a shopping spree, coming home tired and grumpy, and realizing you've gone over budget? uh-oh!
Like, the point is, who DOESN'T like sales? There's something about spending the same amount of money but getting more goodies in that same amount which makes you feel like you've achieved something! *mental image of a man sticking a flag on the top of the mountain* LOL!
Now this brings me to the sale at Max! Its no wonder people are sprawling in and out of that shop like things are being sold for free! It wasn't until my mum and I saw the price tags on some of the items that we were, how do i say this nicely? Absolutely shocked, horrified, and astounded! LOL, items for 5 riyals?? I mean, FIVE? wait hold on, how do I emphasize this, its like, buying a vegetable, no in fact its like buying a packet of crisps!
The sale at Max is absolutely ridiculous! If you haven't been to it, I suggest you get there ASAP! The things you get there are usually up-to-date and trendy, the quality isn't that bad either, and when its being sold for the prices of lemons and crisps, i mean, why wouldn't you want to?
However, I must warn you, the lines at the cashier are long as hell, and the shops are pretty much crowded day to night, and you may have to make an extra effort on finding the right sizes, BUT, when things are this cheap, a little labor would go a long way!
Happy shopping! :)
ps: Max stores are at City Centre Doha, and next to Family Food Center at Al Rayyan.
OH! and personally I prefer the Al Rayyan store, just feels like they have a lot more variety, since its a lot bigger in size, don't know for a fact though.
